How To Calculate Drapery Yardage
Use our online calculator here below to estimate the yardage you need for your drapery project.
- Enter the total width of your drapes in inches (the width of your rod
- Enter the total height of your drapes
- Enter the fullness (2.5 for regular fabric, 3.0 for sheers)
- Enter the side returns and overlap (3.5” are standard)
- Enter the bottom hem (10”, i.e. double 5” bottom hem is standard)
- Enter the width of the fabric (regular fabrics are 54” wide, sheers are often around 118” wide)
- If your fabric has a design / pattern, enter the vertical repeat in inches. Solid fabrics have 0 repeat.
- Select if the drapes are a pair or a single panel, and if they are lined or unlined.
