Project Goal: The client wanted to renovate their living room in Kinnelon, NJ, with the objective of giving it a clean contemporary look. They aimed to soften the incoming light through the windows without darkening the room.

Our Recommendation: We suggested using our signature sheer Tableau fabric to create custom drapery sheer panels in a fresh white color. The subtle texture of Tableau complements the room’s contemporary style, avoiding a busy pattern that would overpower the space. Considering the room’s eight windows, a patterned fabric would have been overwhelming. Opting for a clean white color facilitated a subtle transition from the light-colored walls to the windows.

To match the sheers, our designer recommended the sleek performance track in white and a ripplefold pleat style, which perfectly complemented the contemporary design of the room. These custom sheer drapes were designed to be mounted 18 inches above the window and hang 1 inch above the floor. This arrangement elongated the window height and drew attention upwards, accentuating the gorgeous ceiling.
