Goal of the project: The client renovated their master bedroom in Essex Fells, NJ. The client’s objective is to have a warm and elegant room. The client wanted the option to close the window treatments at night to minimize the amount of light coming into the bedroom.

What we recommended: Modern pleat drapery panels with our Reverie fabric in Magical color. Reverie is a blend of cotton and polyester, a medium-weight fabric, with a different color tones. The fabric pleats very well. The light earthy tone fabric has a light sheen.

This fabric goes well with the light color on the wall. The drapes are elegant without overwhelming the room. The sheen gives it also a slightly more formal look. The decorative rod with rings is in a black matte color, which matches the other black metal knobs in the room. The decorative finials add a touch of elegance.

Installation: We installed the drapes 1/2 inch off the floor. Since the curtains will be closed daily, they will not have any dust on them on the bottom hem. We mounted the hardware close to the ceiling molding, to add to the perception of height. The custom drapery panels are installed on rods connected with elbows.
