CusTom Drapes in a Dining Room in Chester, NJ

This dining room in Chester, New Jersey feels calm, bright, and very elegant. The drapes help bring the whole space together. They soften the tall windows and add warmth without taking attention away from the rest of the room.

For this project, we used a heavyweight 100% European linen in a warm white color. The fabric has a natural texture that makes the room feel inviting. The color blends easily with the chairs, walls, and wood tones. It also works well with the natural light coming through the windows, creating a soft and comfortable atmosphere.

The drapes are made with a modern tack high pinch pleat. This style gives a clean and tailored look at the top. The fabric then falls straight down in smooth lines. It feels structured but still relaxed, which fits well in a dining room like this one.

We installed the drapes on a designer rod with rings. This detail adds a classic touch and matches the finishes in the room. The rings allow the panels to move easily while keeping a refined look.

The height and width of the installation were very important. The drapes are mounted high above the windows to make the room feel taller. They are also extended wide so that when the panels are open, they do not block the light. When closed, they create a soft and cozy feeling for dinners and gatherings.
