Goal of the project: The client was looking to update the living room and dining room window treatments.  The customer wanted to go with different window treatments in each room but similar because of the open floor plan.  The customer also wanted to give an impression of height to the room.

What we recommended: stationary custom drapery side panels in our signature Reverie fabric. Reverie is a two-tone fabric with a light metallic sheen.  This fabric selection gives a clean look to the room, while adding a touch of warmth. The light metallic sheen of the fabric adds a formal elegant touch to the window treatments. To keep a nice flow between the rooms the customer opted to use the same fabric and drapery hardware in each room; however, to coordinate with each individual room the customer chose different colors.  To give the illusion of height, the custom drapery panels were created to hang from just below the crown molding to ¼ inch above the floor.  For the drapery hardware, the customer chose our designer rod with rings in a contrasting black color for both rooms.  This helps connect the dark floor color in the room with the window treatments and add a boldness to the window treatments.  

The client already had wooden blinds in the windows for privacy and light control, therefore full closing drapes were not necessary.  By adding the metallic drapery side panels to the windows, it instantly elevated the elegance and formality of each room and matched the gorgeous decor.
