Goal of the project: The client renovated the whole house in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. The client’s objective is to have a formal look in the living room and dining room. They want privacy and light control during the day and at night.

What we recommended: A pair of pinch pleated curtains with our Aruba fabric. Aruba is a light weight fabric, with a different color tones. The color tones are in the same natural and light beige family, which makes it easy to blend in with different colors in the furniture. 

This fabric goes well with the light color on the wall, the cream color in the upholstered furniture, and the stronger color tones in the rug. The drapes are elegant without overwhelming the room. The decorative rod with rings is in a brushed brass color, which goes well with the metal in the room. The tie-backs give the window a more formal look. 

Sheer curtains provide all the privacy the client needs during the day, while letting a lot of light into the room. The sheer fabric has more texture than a regular batiste sheer. They provide privacy even at night, when you are not directly in front of the window. For total privacy at night, the drapery panels can be closed. 

Installation: We installed the drapes and the sheers touching the floor. This gives a more lush and romantic look to the window treatments. The formal tie-backs bring an additional formal touch.
