Faux Roman valances in primary bathroom
This beautiful bathroom in Red Bank, NJ, features custom window treatments that add a soft, elegant touch to the space. The bay window behind the tub is dressed with three faux Roman valances made from Socrates Tundra Ice, a white fabric with a subtle blue geometric pattern. These valances don’t move up and down but are styled to look like Roman shades. They bring a clean, tailored look that fits the room’s classic architecture.
The valances are installed under the carved molding cornice and trim around the windows and ceiling. By installing them high, the design draws the eye upward, highlighting the tall windows and the beautiful woodwork.
To keep the look consistent, the same fabric was used on the French doors nearby. Full-length drapes frame the doors and offer privacy while still letting in natural light. A curved, carved cornice above the doors adds a finished look and ties in with the details above the tub.
