In the heart of Tribeca, overlooking the iconic World Trade Center, our team at KOPA Drapes recently completed one of our favorite installations of the year: elegant sheer drapes flowing seamlessly along a custom curved motorized track. The space, a modern high-rise living room with sweeping views of Lower Manhattan, required window treatments that softened the architectural lines without competing with the stunning panorama outside.
For this project, we selected a cotton-linen blend sheer woven by one of the oldest textile mills in Spain—a fabric house known for centuries of craftsmanship and its timeless, understated textures. The weave offers the perfect balance: light enough to maintain the natural brightness of the room, yet warm enough to create softness against the building’s modern aesthetic.
The gentle curvature of the windows presented both a challenge and an opportunity. We fabricated a custom motorized track engineered to follow the architecture precisely. The result is a fluid movement of fabric—smooth and quiet—reflecting our commitment to craftsmanship, technical expertise, and design integrity. With a single touch, the sheers glide open to reveal the skyline or close to create a serene, diffused light throughout the day.

In this Tribeca residence, the sheers do more than control light—they add warmth, softness, and a feeling of calm, all while honoring the contemporary architecture around them.
