This double height drapery project was done in Scotch Plains, NJ. The client was looking for a way to soften the light coming through the stacked height windows on both sides of the fireplace.

Treating stacked windows with custom double height drapes is a great way to highlight the height of the tall ceilings and simplify the space.  

Together the client and our KOPA Interior Designer chose to stick to a monochromatic color scheme.  This allows the client to have more color options when redecorating the rest of the room and helps keep the space cohesive.

For the fabric selection, it was important to the homeowner to go with an eco friendly natural fabric.  Our Rabat Grey sustainable cotton was the perfect option.  Adding simple elegant detail to the window treatments, the client went with our Designer hardware in Satin Nickel with modern pleat 2 prong tack high.  Opting for 2 prong vs 3 prong allows for less fabric stacking and more light coming in the windows.   For the installation of this project, the drapery hardware was lined up just above the bottom of the arch window.  Mounting any higher that this location would interrupt the lines created in the space.  The length of the drapes was carefully tailored to almost kiss the floor and hover just above.  This was also done to keep with the lines created in this space.
