Double Height custom drapes

Goal of the project: The client redecorated their living room in Upper Saddle River, NJ. The client’s objective was to dress their double height windows with bold stylish drapes to complement the new decor in the room. It was important to still show off the detailing and openness of the windows without fully covering them.

What we recommended: Wave pleat drapery side panels with our Bayview fabric in Smoke color. Bayview is a medium-weight fabric, with a warm color tone. The fabric pleats very well and adds clean lines to the room.

Stationary Decorative Panels

This fabric coordinates with the fireplace, large wall furniture and the television. The dark smoke color of the double height drapery panels adds a nice contrast to the color on the wall. To break up the contrast, the hardware we recommended was a designer rod with rings in a silver color. This silver color can also be found on most of the furniture in the room.

Installation: For a custom designer look, we installed the drapes to kiss the floor but not create a pile. This style is called Pooled Drapes. We mounted the hardware 18 inches above the windows, halfway between the top of the window and the ceiling.
