Goal of the project: The client renovated their reading room. The goal was to give a clean contemporary look to the room while giving it also a warm feeling.
What we recommended: Stationary custom side panels in our signature Reverie fabric, in a warm white Casablanca color. This drapery fabric is a two-tone solid fabric with a light sheen. The Casablanca color goes well with the off-white color of the shutters and in the carpet. Two type of installations were tested for this client. Manufacturing the custom curtain panels so that there is a break on the floor (about 3″ break), or having the drapery side panels done so that they just touch the floor. After looking at both options, the client decided to have the drapes made and installed so that they just touch the floor. The installation of the drapery tracks was done inside the ceiling soffit, to hide the hardware. The style of drapery pleat is a modern pleat: pinch pleated drapes, tacked on the top of the pleat.
