Goal of the project: This client in New York wanted the best option to keep the nursery bedroom dark. Another goal is insulation from cold draft.

What we recommended: Fully closing custom blackout curtains in a linen fabric, with a white blackout liner. Blackout curtains are the best type of window treatment to make a bedroom dark. The client wanted a natural fabric that is as eco-friendly as possible. Linen is made out of flax. It requires only natural rain water to grow. The customer selected a light natural color to go with the ivory tones in the bedroom. We recommended our performance traverse track, which have ball bearing carriers for easy opening and closing.

Installation: We installed the drapery track as close as possible to the ceiling. The track and the curtains go wall-to-wall. The drapes are slightly touching the floor. As a result, we minimize the light gap coming in through the top, the sides and the bottom of the drapery panels.
