What is the best way to keep curtains pleated? How do you give your pinch pleated or Ripplefold draperies a crisp look? Here are our Top 2 window treatments tips to make it happen:

#1: Steam the curtains

#2: Train the pleats by temporarily gathering them on the bottom

#1: steam your curtains

Steaming your curtains can go a long way when training your drapery pleats to lay properly. Start by arranging the pleats neatly in folds and then use a handheld steamer to apply continuous steam to the fabric. Stay about 1″ away from the fabric. Steaming gets rid of the wrinkles and loosens the fabric.

#2: clip the bottom of your drapes

Plastic pleat clips attach to the back of your drapes at the bottom of the hem to help train the pleats to stay in place without leaving any marks. No plastic clips on hand? No problem. You can use shrink-wrap, similar to Glad. Turn it into a band, and wrap the shrink-wrap around the bottom of the hem. Leave it for around 24h to 48h.
